WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT SOP - RG-VP WEB SOLUTIONS

This document outlines the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for website development at RG-VP Web Solutions.

I. Template Selection

  1. Study the Competitors Website:
    • If a sample website is provided, thoroughly study its design, layout, structure, and content.
    • Understand the features and UI elements used in the sample website to ensure consistency.
  2. Select a Suitable Template:
    • Choose a template that aligns with the design, layout, and functionality of the original website.
    • Ensure you select a newer version of the Bootstrap template (latest version preferred for responsiveness and performance).

II. File Management

  1. Folder Structure:

    Follow the folder structure below when designing a website.

  2. Note on Root Folder:
    • Root folder is stored at /mnt/RGVPData/www/
    • Project folder name must be the Domain Name (e.g., rentopia.in, rvwealth.com, rgvp.in).
  3. Folder & File Connections:
    • All CSS, JS, IMG, and Videos must be placed in app_theme/.
    • Ensure correct linking of all assets.
  4. Additional Folders:
    • If required, folders like RGVPCore, PanelAdmin, or apis can be added later.
    • Configuration files like app_config should be added for specific features.

III. Data Generation

  1. Use ChatGPT for Data: Always use rgvpws@gmail.com for generating website data.
  2. Generating Relevant Data:
    • Provide ChatGPT with all necessary info for accurate and relevant content.
  3. Improving Readability: Use simple, appealing, and professional terms.
  4. Detailed Prompts:
    • Generate content for the entire website including About, Contact, Products.
  5. HTML Conversion: Use Online HTML Editor to clean and convert content into HTML.

IV. Image and Video Management

  1. Check Available Media: Verify quality of provided images/videos.
  2. Request Missing Media: Ask customers for missing assets.
  3. Generate Media if Required:
    • Logos and images via Canva (rgvpws@gmail.com premium).
    • Graphics matched with template colors.
  4. Use Colorhunt for Schemes: Colorhunt or RGVP Palette Tool.
  5. Intro Video: Use Canva to create intro videos in MP4 with music.

V. Collecting Website Data (Customer Data)

  1. Gather Contact Info: Retrieve from WhatsApp, Google, or service phones.
  2. Request Missing Details: Ask customers if anything is missing.

VI. Finalization & Testing

  1. Review the Website:
    • Check design, info correctness, animations, and layout.
  2. Cross-Browser & Device Testing: Test on different screen sizes/browsers using F12.
  3. Prepare for Demo: Show to manager, then host on subdomain like:
    • https://test.customer-domain.tld OR https://customer-domain.tld/demo/

VII. Notes and Additional Considerations

  • Always follow the folder structure for consistency.
  • Ensure every image, video, CSS, and JS file is linked properly.
  • Use simple and clear data for readability.
  • Keep the customer involved when requesting assets.
  • If customer does not provide data on time, report immediately to the Manager.
